Meng has experience as both a tax consultant and a lawyer. While completing his tertiary studies, Meng undertook an internship in the corporate tax division of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Upon graduating, Meng worked as an Articled Clerk at Lewis Holdway Lawyers and practiced in taxation, commercial and property, financial services licensing, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, insolvency and trusts law. Upon completion of his clerkship, Meng was admitted to legal practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in April 2009.
Meng joined the Webb Martin Consulting team in July 2009 and has been involved in a wide range of areas including stamp duty, GST, small business CGT concessions, personal services income, FBT, superannuation and employee share schemes. Meng’s previous role allows him to approach matters and tackle problems from a legal perspective with commercial reality.
Meng has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Melbourne.
Outside of the office, Meng enjoys travel, food, wine, coffee, hockey and football. Meng’s travels have taken him to France, Belgium, England, Switzerland, USA, Singapore, Malaysia and Cambodia as part of a humanitarian project. He is also a keen cyclist, and competes in various races and sportive events with the Melbourne University Cycling Club.
